Issue:
How to locate additional symbol libraries for AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.Solution:
AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT do not ship with extensive symbol libraries. Libraries can be created or found online. Many manufacturers in different industries provide libraries of blocks for their products for use with AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT. Some are free while some may have a fee associated.AutoCAD versions up through 2018 include the SEEK command, which will launch a web browser to BIMobject, from which free downloadable symbols were available. However, Autodesk no longer owns that site. There is still downloadable content from there but but Autodesk no longer controls whether or not it is free to access.
Note: On January 16, 2017, Autodesk transferred the operations and customer support obligations related to the Autodesk Seek business to BIMobject. As part of this arrangement, BIMobject assumed the operational responsibility for providing Autodesk Seek customers with high-quality building information modeling (BIM) content services on the BIMobject Cloud.

Where does one find the symbol library shipped with AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT?Solution:
AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT have a limited set of symbols which are available on the sample tool palettes. One can find an icon on the Ribbon panel -> View tab -> Palettes panel, to launch the palettes. Alternatively, one can use the keyboard combination CTRL+3 to access the same palettes. That said, that is the sum of the symbology available within the application.
There are however other resources available for block libraries, the following are just a handful found using a Google search:
